Write a Review“There's something about Maple!”by Maple Umc
This 125 year old building houses a friendly congregation that has a history of missional giving both locally and globally. Many of the members have raised their families here and now bring their grandchildren. There is a multicultural emphasis as well with several members from India. The preaching is Biblical and applies lessons to our everyday lives. The preaching style is informal with a bit of storytelling that leaves the hearers remembering the lesson in the week ahead. A coffee fellowship or luncheon follows the worship to allow everyone a chance to chat and interact. The church also houses the NE Neighborhood Food Pantry and has an ongoing relationship with NA (daily noon meetings Monday-Friday).
Attendee Tips
The church has an elevator from the lower level to the sanctuary. To access it, park in the lower level parking lot and enter the Social Hall door. There is also street level parking to the west of the church (enter off Poplar Street or Capital Avenue NE. The church offices are located on this level. There are stairs up to the sanctuary and down to the Social Hall. Sunday School meets at 9:30 for adults on the office level and developmentally challenged adults in the Social Hall.
