Write a Review“Family Oriented ”by Rick Rossner
If you are looking for a Church that is very family oriented look no further. The Exeter Church of Christ genuinely cares about you and your Family. Our worship service is technology based with overhead lyrics and group let singing. After Sunday morning services, we feature small group style teaching that is intended to be relevant based to everyone in attendance.
Attendee Tips
If you are looking for a church in the Exeter/Visalia area, we hope that you will join us. We are a Bible-based, church, and our whole heart is focused on helping people connect with God and others. We are "a loving family led by God to reach a broken world." If you come and visit us for worship on Sundays at 10 AM, we hope that you will find the following atmosphere: Welcoming We are praying everyday that God sends people just like you into our lives. And just as God has done with us, we seek to take people wherever they are in their walk with God. You will be greeted with a smile. Whether you need space or want to engage in meaningful conversation, we seek to be responsive to your needs. If you are looking for deeper relationships, we also invite you to check out one of our small group sessions. God and Christ Centered Our worship focuses on what God has accomplished through Jesus Christ. We praise him by telling of all of his wonderful nature and all of his mighty acts of creation and salvation. We talk to him by offering up prayers, and through Scripture readings and messages from the word of God we listen to him. Through our giving we thank him and acknowledge his rule over all of our lives. Spiritual When we gather together, we believe that God himself is present through his Holy Spirit. We offer up spiritual songs using our voices, and we seek to show that the Spirit is indeed among us by demonstrating the characteristics of the Spirit--love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. We celebrate the Lord's Supper each week, there encountering the risen Christ and remembering his death and resurrection. Culturally RelevantECCMedia In today's culture, multimedia is a way of life, and so appropriate video, slides, and songs that enhance and illustrate the biblical message are used each Sunday. Our Internet based culture is also highly interactive, and so people share their stories or testimonies of faith, with questions being asked during the message to engage the members. Messages offer practical help for daily Christian living at work, in the family, and in the church. Children Friendly To help both parents and children worship, there is a "Kids Church" for children age three to second grade. A nursery is also provided for Sunday morning worship. Uplifting Through focusing on God, our faith is built up for service to others throughout the week. We serve each other in our "worship service" by providing opportunities for fellowship, sharing, confessing, prayer requests, and responding to God's word. People are welcome to be outwardly expressive in their worship or not, each as God has made them.
